This was one of the worst hotels we stayed at in quite a while. We booked four rooms and three out of four had heavy smoke smells. The fourth room had a foul odor from what seemed to be the carpet. One of the doors had been broken into and repaired. Also, there were several body hairs in the bathroom from previous guest(s). My TV didn't work and the AC was old and very noisy (had to turn off to sleep). I cringe when I think back to the amount of mold in the place.

If everything else is booked up (as in our case) I'd recommend going to the nearest city rather than staying here. You can get better for $75 per night.

The mold in the bathrooms is quite gross. Major updating needed. You could tell that this was something else at one time and they just slapped thier name on it. Beds were ok nothing great. I didn't see much of the staff other when I tried to clean up a mess with our towels and they got mad because I was stepping on the towels to clean up the mess. Hot tub is quite small. The internet access was a plus. The breakfast was already picked over by 8:30. If this was just a stopover I would think you would be safe. If it was a location for gatherings and you needing to be here for a few days, I don't know if I could do that. It isn't close to the campus or hospital so if you plan on going out for a night on the town, getting home can get interesting.

Room had dark decor and only 3 small lamps for lighting. Noticed small amount of webbing hanging from the textured ceiling. Clothes rod did not easily accommodate standard hangers. Floor tile in the bathroom was very slippery, perhaps because it had not been rinsed thoroughly after scrubbing. Bob's Your Uncle restaurant was adjacent with access through the lobby, and a good continental breakfast was available. Lobby was equipped with a computer for guest use.

A good value for $62 including tax.

The rooms are on the ground level and one above. I had one on the ground floor, which did make moving in and out fairly easy. HOWEVER, being on the ground floor means that you are that much closer to bugs and other insects that might like to wander into your room. The room was okay; the bathroom probably needs an update. Because it is quite humid, there did seem to be a mould/moisture problem. The air-conditioning had just been serviced, but these are old machines that are VERY noisy. This means that everyone will have their TVs cranked to hear over it.

Wireless internet was good; decent signal. I didn't have a fridge in the room. Small rack for hanging clothing, awkwardly located just inside the door (so I basically had to step under the rack as I opened the door to enter the room). Front desk people were very helpful and asked for feedback. Breakfast was the usual Travelodge affair of toast, cereal, and waffles. There is a health club/gym down the hill, and tTravelodge guests receive a discount of some kind (maybe $5-10 for a one-off use?).

I also enjoyed my meal at "Bob's Your Uncle" next-door. I recommend the ribeye steak. What do they feed their cows in Iowa?! Onion rings were also excellent. It is a sports bar/restaurant, but family friendly.

This place is okay if you're in the middle of getting from somewhere to somewhere else, but I definitely didn't see any of the city here.

Clean and spacious rooms, outstanding wireless access in room, great cont. breakfast. Liked the interior and outside access to room, pulled right up to the outside door and brought our stuff in. Enjoyed drinks and dinner at restaurant (Bobs Your Uncle) attached to hotel. Couldn't have asked for a better value I got less at a $125/nite hotel in Indianapolis last night! Loved it!
