This is an interesting place. It seems more like a tap room than a restaurant but we had a nice meal. It was a little slow but in the end it was pretty good. I had the jambalaya, it was spicy hot but pretty tasty. Everyone else said their meals were good too. Their beer was good as well. The ;place has been fixed up nicely and has a nice view of the fort and river. The constant stream of trains going by also adds an interesting element to the view. It's located in an area of downtown that seems to be dying but could be really neat if they could get some businesses to come in and fix up the buildings.

This brewery ought to stick to beer. As a brewpub, it makes decent beer and the interior is inviting, However, we also ordered food, which is where the trouble began. Our server was very rude, and refused to give us tap water when we asked for it; we had to pay for bottled water. This after one of our party had her mouth burned by the wings, which brings me to my biggest complaint. My son ordered wings; he likes very spicy (hot) food. Their hottest wings were called "Hellfire", which my son ordered...we regularly order the spiciest wings on a menu and have never yet found any we couldn't eat.

When the wings arrived, he commented that they were extremely hot. I tried a small bite and had to leave the restaurant for a few minutes because I became nauseated. A second member merely tasted a dab of the sauce, and rushed into the bathroom. My son ate half the order, and was sick for 12 hours. None of these descriptions are exaggerations. Apparently the cook liked the idea of making people ill; the wings were inedible. Any food this intolerably hot/spicy should have some sort of warning in the menu. The staff was totally unconcerned that some of our party were obviously in a lot of pain and not feeling good.

Between the experience with the wings and the rude service, this was probably our worst dining experience in years.

Cute place with a good variety of craft beer. Great view of the Mississippi River across the street. The beer is tasty, too.
