Nice, clean hotel on the western curve of Emmetsburg. Maybe 1/2 mile from downtown, opposite side from the casino and POET Ethanol plant. Nothing extra fancy -- it had a microwave on top of the dorm-size fridge -- but quiet and tastefullly decorated.

Only negative note: carpet is dirty. We left the bath with damp feet, sat on the bed and realized our soles were dirty. They really need to address this.

Aside from that -- just what you would expect from a Super 8.

Room Tip: We stayed in a pet room. Our dog did not spend a lot of time sniffing out other visitors -- clean in that regard.

Booked through Priceline and paid $51/night for two nights. Room was clean, staff are friendly, and breakfast is served from 5-10 am. Computer and printer available for guest use are slow but adequate for web surfing.

A very nice super 8. Decent breakfast with waffles, cereal, etc... with clean and quiet rooms. I normally stay in hotels that are $100 plus per night but now I am wondering why. This place is half the cost and really about the same quality as something twice the price. There is no pool or hot tub, which I normally prefer, but that is really the only significant difference. For this area, you can't go wrong here.

Room Tip: I am on the first floor which I normally do not do, but it is quiet and feels completely safe.

This was our third stay! Have always been pleased. This time we got a room with three queen beds. It was a great size, room was clean and very comfortable. The value here is good.

The breakfast looked as good as it always does. We didn't eat here because one of our daughter's has celiac and (as is typical of continental breakfasts) there wasn't much gluten-free available. Other than that, I have no complaints and would recommend this location.

We had requested 2 rooms on the first floor when the reservation was made and had received a phone call from the manager to ask whether we needed one to be handicap accessible which we did not. She confirmed both rooms would be first floor, but not adjoining which was fine. However when we arrived we were told both rooms were on the second floor. I explained my elderly parents had to have a first floor room as they could not navigate the floors. So we did finally get one room on the first floor. The actual rooms were nice and clean. Both of the pop machines were out and the staff did not seem very concerned about it. They also did not replace the in room coffee cups so we had to go to the lobby and get some. Overall it was an okay place to stay.
