Elk Horn is a small town with a nice hotel. Its locally owned and they take a lot of pride in the upkeep of their hotel and town. Good little place for a Quiet weekend getaway. Breakfast was good in the morning. They even have suites that have a jacuzzi right in the room. Very nice.

We recently stayed at the Tivoli for 2 days...The new owners were friendly, but the rooms have become shabby and expensive....The continental breakfast had very stale bagels and only two kinds and there was no fruit...The milk came from a gallon jug and the coffee was terrible...Our room (one with the spa) had a top sheet as the comforter, the hot tub leaked and something had been spilled on the carpet...

The former owners, I believe, took better care of the hotel....

I stayed at the now Tivoli Inn and Suites formerly AmericInn on December 20th. First off I wasn't sure what to expect with new ownership and management but I was surprised. I have stayed here in the past and my expectations were high. The new Staff went above and beyond their duties to make sure my stay was pleasant. The rooms were the cleanest I've seen in a long time. The hotel in General was very clean as well from the time I walked in the staff was extremely polite and helpful in answering questions I had. They recommended the "Danish Inn" to eat at. Breakfast was excellent you had a choice between buscuits and gravy, waffles, muffins, donuts, juice, coffee around the clock. The Pool and Spa actually worked where in the past it was always shut down for one reason or another. I would deffinetely recommend this hotel to anyone!! Hats off to the management for making this an even better stay than it was before!!!

Each Dec 24th our family of 40+ meets and spends the night at the hotel in Elk Horn. In the past it was an AmericInn but has been privately purchased and is now named the Tivoli Inn. We were apprehensive about the changes we might find and worried about our stay. The minute we walked in, our fears were laid to rest. The new staff was excellent. They had added some new services that made our use of the "party" room more comfortable (providing table clothes plus help from the staff in arranging the room to fit our needs). They were asking us continually if there was any help they could offer to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were all very clean and beautiful, all the electronics (TV, hair dryers, Wi-Fi, etc)worked. They are also pet friendly, a new service that the AmericInn did not provide. All in all, our stay was very pleasant and we would reccommend it to anyone who is passing by this area and wants to enjoy a true Danish experience. Elk Horn has two festivals each year Tivoli Fest on Memorial weekend and Julifest on the Thanksgiving holiday. They are great fun, filled with wonderful Danish food and Danish activities and a dose of the wonderfully friendly local people.
