Truly the best kept secret in Dubuque! It looks like your corner neighborhood bar. Upon entering you'll see '70 era tables filled with locals eating and laughing. Behind the bar you'll find the owner who hand cuts the meats daily, and his wife in the back running the kitchen. The most friendly and efficient server Sonny will seat you, take your order and make you feel like family.
The night we visited there was a large party, so she wanted to let us know there may be a short wait, which turned out to be nothing at all. The entrees came with the soup and salad bar of which she offered our daughter to help herself even though she only ordered appetizers. My husbands broasted chicken was juicy on the inside with just the right crunch, it came with homemade mash to die for. My prime rib, one of the Sat. specials we so tender you could almost cut it with a fork .
This is the kind of place you get more then your moneys worth, great service. The owner even came over to talk to us. He has a train collection that actually runs on a track around the parameter of the place and drops candy down to the kiddies. What fun!!!
