WE drove to Dubuque to spend an evening and decided we wanted to eat at the best place available. This was it. We loved the place from the friendly atmosphere at the door, to the final good-bye. Stopped at the bar and had a drink and then proceeded to one of the best meals we have had. Was it worth a 70 mile drive. yes, don't miss the place.

This is the second time we have eaten here in the last month...because we just had to come back forore. And the second time did not disappoint. Chris, our server tonight was spot on great. The atmosphere is casual, cozy and clean. Nice selection of beers and liqours at the bar as well.

But the story is the food. It has quickly become my favorite place to eat anywhere. And I travel a lot.

The Osso Bucco is absolutely yummy. If you like sweet and savory, you will love this dish. The figgy piggy pizza is a must If you like sweet and savory on pizza. Absolutely the best combination of prosciutto, spinach and fig chutney. Yum.

Speaking of dessert, the strawberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream...really terrific. Just the right amount of sweet.

If you are looking for a great local treat, I strongly recommend L Mays.

Great food, atmosphere, and service! Their bread and salad is wonderful! I have had several meals on the menu and can say they were all wonderful. They do change up their menu often to keep it new and exciting- I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Our B&B directed us to this downtown restaurant. Looked like a place that locals would go for a nice meal. We ate on the patio which was nice and not too crowded - the interior bar and dining areas were nice too! All of us were happy with our meals and the prices were $10-25 range which gave us much to choose from. Definitely will go again when visiting!
