We took a family driving vacation this year and ended up staying here. What a mistake! This place is VERY rundown, the staff was not friendly, you only got coffee or donuts in the morning if you were fast enough. The pool area is listed as indoor - but it's not! They put up some plastic "greenhouse" walls that are open most of the time. The water was cloudy and smelled heavily of chemicals. I was too afraid to look at the hot tub, but patrons from the hotel bar wandered right through the open "walls" and hopped in! As you walk down the halls of the motel - the fitness room is a treadmill and an elliptical machine in a room that they ripped the furnishings out of. Matter of fact, almost all the extras (meeting rooms, laundry, fitness room) were old rooms that were stripped bare and had the doors propped open. Whole place smelled like smoke. I can't stress enough to please not stay here - I made my kids wear shoes all the time because I was afraid of what might be on the floor.

Stayed: August 2008

I don't think I could stay here again. The room was clean, but the smoke from adjoining rooms filled our room as well, making it hard to sleep. Our clothes still smelled like tobacco smoke two days later. The bathroom dressing area was only large enough for one person to use at a time. There was a mirror in the main room, but it was far from an electrical outlet, and the lighting was so dark, you couldn't see to apply makeup. The beds were comfortable, but only double size, not queen. The free breakfast was only coffee, tea and doughnuts -- no juice, no milk, no fruit or anything else. We stayed here one night, with four adults, and paid $73.88. It was way too much money for what we got.

Nice basic hotel. It used to be a Best Western, I think. Now it's privately owned so it's not listed on a lot of the hotel resources.

The pool area is nice - with a tropical feel to it. They're very accomodating to groups and special requests. We've been going there for several years as a weekend getaway/family get-together, and it's very convenient.
