We drove up from Knoxville Iowa to eat at Scornovacca's. We were ignored and neglected by wait staff so badly that people who came after us were done eating and leaving before we even had food. After the nearly 2 hour horrifying experience we boxed our food when it came and left. We were definitely treated like we were not welcome and only short the comment of being asked to leave. Very hurtful sad experience to have in 2014...

No it is not owned by the Vacco family anymore. The new owner is Susan Freylack. Mike Vacco died in 2010, not sure if that's why or when it was sold. His sister Amy DOES still run the south side store.

It has been awhile since we have eaten here. Does the Sconovacca family still own this restaurant? The quality of the sauce isnt near as good as we remember (not fresh tasting, more out of a can) and the meat toppings were very very light. I was disappointed. I wanted a small salad , but $4.95 for a side salad..not worth it. The crust is still the same great crust we remember but unfortunately everything else has sliden down in quality. We didn't like the onion rings as there was just no seasoning in the batter.

Great little family pizza place. Nothing fancy at all. Just good pizza that varies. Our group had various pizza types with some better than others. Specialty pizzza's vary with their spicy sauces. This place is in a strip mall in an older area. Friendly staff.

I would like to say that life is good, when you can order a large Italian sausage & Pepperoni pizza and a Large order of Homemade onion rings! my favorite Friday or Saturday treat.
