It's a fantastic fair - there is a lot of stuff for everyone to enjoy (unless they hate being around people). If you haven't been, it is well worth going - and it isn't expensive.

I live in Colorado and have family in Iowa and we make a point to go back during the state fair every year. The fair offers the true taste of our great Midwest. There is a huge Midway for the younger ones, top entertainment scheduled at the grand stand, but also many free concerts as well. Many animal competitions and talent shows, they have everything there and then some! Any kind of food you can imagine on a stick. Don't pass this state fair up, it's like I said one of the best in the country and doesn't cost much to get in.

Its ok to drive around but its better when the fair is in town . Much more to do and see . But it seem there is something always out there.
