We have driven by this place many of times and out of the blue we decided to stay here. It was a very pleasent time for us. I come back to town every other weekend for my child and we decided to stay here this time. Mike and his team were very pleasent to speak too and they have been nothing but out of this world. I come from a customer service field and know what it means to go above and beyond and Mike and his team here in Davenport, Iowa have done so that we decided to stay another night. I will return everytime to this hotel for the customer service they provide.

If you are a heavy sleeper or you go to bed long after everyone else has turned the lights out then you will probably have no problem with this hotel; however, if not, then be aware that you can hear every little noise made... in the hallway, next door, and above you.

My husband and I stayed here recently because we had a wedding to attend and wanted a reasonably priced hotel for the night. Unfortunately the neighbor's conversation (which was not unreasonably loud) could be heard clearly through the walls until 2 a.m. In addition every time a door opened and closed it shook the walls a little, and footsteps could be heard from those guests staying in the room above us.

We were also not so thrilled to find out that the iron which was seen in the picture of the room on the hotel's website was not actually in the room we had. We had both packed our nice outfits for the next day. We had to try to steam them in the bathroom, which was difficult as the clothing hangers were the kind without actual hooks.

My wife and I stayed with our kids (ages 4 and 6) here for one night. After staying at Hiltons and Country Inns, this place did not impress us as it seems a little old and isn't overly cute from the outside.

That said, the hotel had everything that we needed. The room was clean and big, though the bathroom was not, and included a La-Z-Boy and a TV that had a lot of channels. It had a free wireless setup (as well as a place to surf the web if you were without a laptop).

The pool goes from 3-5 feet and it has cute sea-related paintings on the wall. There is a sauna, make sure it is on before you go swimming, and a pool table and arcade (both require money).

The continental breakfast featured sausage gravy in a crockpot, the make-your-own waffle bit along with the usual bagels, toast and pastry items.

Evenings snacks that are advertised do not get served on Wednesday for some reason and are only available from 5:30 until 7pm. They are chocolate chip cookies and popcorn.

The people were friendly. So were the flies. There seem to be a lot of them greeting us anytime we would get out of the car in eastern Iowa.

The place isn't far from shopping and a bunch of restaurants. We headed towards town and went to a Lone Star Steakhouse.

Overall, it gets my recommendation if looking for cheap lodging but not for a long stay or for a pampered guest.

We cancelled our reservations at another motel and booked this location after staying in a Heartland Inn in Council Bluffs. Heartland Inns are just
nice places to stay. The price was $72 for a King size room with
continental breakfast provided. The breakfast was OK (the "usual")
We like to eat a REAL breakfast when traveling, but this was the last day
out and we were in a hurry to get home after 3 weeks on the road.

There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant fairly close. We ate there the night we arrived.Cracker Barrels are a good choice when traveling. Good and plentiful meals ( too much so- I had to get a Doggie Bag to avoid throwing out half the meal ).Actually, we no longer have a dog ( I miss her), but my only virtue as a husband of 46 years is that I LIKE leftovers (lucky for me)
