My husband and I stay at the Blackhawk whenever we come to the Quad-Cities to visit our families. We've only stayed - never eaten at the hotel. But we think it's the best hotel in the area. Check-in is seamless, the rooms are lovely and quiet. There are always a nice collection of snacks in the mini-bar. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are spacious. Internet is free for the first 24 hours and the connection is quick. Our only minor complaint would be about the pool area - it would be terrific if there could be a few hours reserved for adult swim - maybe after a certain hour at night? All in all - we like this hotel better than any others we've stayed at in the area.

Greetings UrbanMusings,

Thank you so much for your review. We are always delighted to accommodate you. I will pass along your comments about our express check-in. We have just rolled out a new spring menu; perhaps on your next stay you can enjoy room service – even from the pool! I think your adult hour concept is very interesting. Your comments will be carefully considered. It is our pleasure to make sure you enjoy every aspect of our Hotel.

We hope to see you again soon.

We had only one night in the hotel, we took our grandson to the John Deere store and museum. The hotel is quite nicely decorated and updated, it is traditional in appointment keeping the the historic nature of the hotel. We had a room with a balcony which was a nice touch, a bit too cold to enjoy for too long but none the less nice. We had our 5 year old grandson who enjoyed the large over sized tub. The rooms are modern with current and pleasant to be in.

There was an event going on so the bowling alley was not accessible which was a bummer but overall all quite a nice hotel.

We had dinner and breakfast both meals were prepared to order and staff was very nice.

Room Tip: try to get a view of the river.

My husband and I were married in March of 2014 at the Hotel Blackhawk in the Gold Room. From the rooms, to the group rates, to every single detail being accounted for- this hotel made our wedding perfect. The staff was incredible and was able to flip our ceremony room into a reception in less than an hour, and it was stunning. I have never experienced this type of care or attention to detail at any other hotel. The staff made myself (the bride), the wedding party & our entire group of guests feel welcome and important. I can't even put into words how perfect our wedding day was because of the wonderful staff!!!! The Hotel Blackhawk is an experience all in it's own, the architecture and design of this building is immaculate & it is absolutely a must-stay for me whenever I am in the Quad Cities! I can't wait to go back!! We had our make up and hair done at the Spa in the main lobby, and not only were the girls amazing at what they did, but they were fun and really made us feel special. The bowling alley provided hours of fun and friendly competition on the night before our wedding, and the secluded lanes were perfect for a small party! Throughout the evening of my wedding, multiple staff members approached me to make sure everything was going ok, and Kelsey helped organize the rowdy wedding party before the ceremony started. I could go on for hours about how amazing the Hotel Blackhawk staff was, but I'll let you experience it for yourself. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone, whether it be a wedding, an extended stay, or a night away from the kids. The Bix Bistro is delicious and affordable. They really cut no corners at this historic hotel. Its absolutely perfect and once again- I thank everyone for allowing my wedding to go over without a hitch. The food, the staff, everything was perfect!!!!

I planned a surprise Birthday overnight for my wife and we had a great time in Davenport and a special stay at the beautiful Blackhawk Hotel. We both enjoyed our spacious room and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. We also were within walking distance to the Figge Museum which is a local treasure.

Stayed here with family for a weekend getaway. Hotel has the classic yet modern 1940s feel to it. It is located downtown having restaurants within walking distance. There is a spa and shop attached to it. We fell in love with this place during our last stay. It has become OUR hotel to stay at in the area. Rooms are elegant and clean. Refrigerator and pantry is stocked with for sale items with very little room to store any food items you bring. No free breakfast here. They have a Sunday brunch available that is out of this world. Staff was very nice and friendly. Free valet parking. Food is good at hotel but pricey. Room prices were fair for the area. The overall crowd staying here was business attire or better, not a blue jean place (but no dress code enforced). The place has the travel back in time feel but still modern. I normally am very picky with my reviews but this is a nice place.

We went for a quick weekend getaway from the Chicago area and had a great visit! The hotel was beautifully restored and beautiful. Staff was able to provide an upgrade upon check-in and our marriott rewards points really went to good use here. We enjoyed a drink in the lobby and loved the wasabi popcorn that was included! The breakfast options were more complete than the typical Marriott and the staff were really warm and friendly. Everyone we encountered was accommodating and helpful.
Our room was clean and spacious and our son loved the tv in the bathroom mirror while soaking!
The pool was great and the bowling alley in the lower level helped make a perfect Friday night that much better!
Never associated Cary grant with Iowa before, but he apparently passed away while staying at the hotel on the 8th floor. We didn't see him roaming the halls but it was fun pretending he was watching over us.
A nice security perk is that you need a key to access the guest rooms from elevators and you can only access the floor you are staying on with your key. Because the hotel Is attached to a convention center this provided peace of mind!
All in all, a great hotel for a short weekend away!
