“Ok food, not the service.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2014

I ordered fish tacos and the breading was very thick and still doughy on the inside, also a bit stale hard on the outside rather then crunchy like fried fish is supposed to be, It must have sat for to long. The tilapia fillets were tiny, so there was more breading then fish. Not cool, because when you order fish tacos you expect to eat fish, not tortilla and doughy fried breading. The reason for giving the one star is not even for the quality of the food. It is for the service received when i made the complaint about the fish. I simply and politely mentioned the quality of the fish and that i wouldn't eat it and offered to call it even for a beer.
The waitress went inside and the owner came out later and asked me about the food and once again i told (now the owner woman) her about my dispute with the lack of quality in the meal that i'm paying them for. She did not say much of anything and walked inside. Next 20 minutes later the waitress brings me a beer small enough to be a sampler glass! I was insulted and embarrassed by this tiny glass of beer. Absolutely blows me away and they billed me the full amount for the meal and i didn't even eat it. I PAID AND DID NOT DRINK MY BABY BEER. Thanks its a no go.

It was a delight to arrive at a pub and be able to order just protein & veggies. The steak arrived as ordered and I had a delicious double side order of freshly prepared asparagus.....mmmmmmmmmm!!!

“Great food, great prices.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

This restaurant is set in a historic building near the waterfront so it is a bit of a tight squeeze to sit and move around, however the food and the value was exceptional. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty as was the cheddar ale soup (served warm, however). It can get busy so keep that in mind and there is very little waiting room for tables. It is worth the wait however and again, very affordable for what you get.

“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014 via mobile

Came here for dinner with a few colleagues. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It was pretty busy but we got a table indoors pretty quickly.
Menu has a good selection of semi-gourmet pub food. I chose the pork loin which was actually very tender, served with rice and veg. My colleagues had burgers which they said were good although the fries tasted old and oily.
The beer selection is great and I enjoyed their lager.
Prices overall were reasonable and service was good.
