I love to walk around the Village and simply people watch. I'll also hit Rudy's Tacos, Lacomarcino's (confectionery) and perhaps Blyarts Pub.

This historic village has some great little shops for things like hand-made soaps and beaded jewelry, as well a variety of bars and restaurants...all within a couple of blocks so you can park and walk. An added bonus is that you can walk or drive up several steep and winding streets above the village to see historic Davenport mansions that overlook the Mississippi. It is a great little place to spend an hour or two.

This is a beautiful area especially during the summertime. It's a small area about 4 blocks big steep in historical building history and filled with unique shops, saloon type bars and some of the friendliest people that I've ever met. Enjoy a stroll as you explore the shops and grab a drink at one of the local saloons and then a bite to eat at the newly revamped Rudy's Mexican Cantina. After, head over to the old fashion candy/soda shoppe known as Largomarcino's. What a charming place to visit! President and Mrs. Obama even have a booth named after them as they enjoyed a sundae after stopping there to campaign a few years ago.

I love the quaint shopping area and pubs that offer good lunches and a trip down memory lane. Just wish there was more shopping in the area. Several of the boutiques are gone.

If you ever were to visit the Quad Cities, this is a must do place.
It's kind of travelling back in time, with saloon like bars and a fantastic atmosphere alongside the Mississippi river...
