About an hour outside Bucharest, this Palace and grounds are lovely but I am not sure worth the drive. The Palace itself was so badly damaged and plundered during many wars, that other than the outside walls there is little left of what was original. It is hard to know what the interior really looked like and now the inside of the Palace is a modern art gallery. Since I do not particularly care for modern art, it was not noteworthy to me. The small St George Church (1688) was beautiful, and we were lucky enough to visit during a service and hear some of the lovely Mass. Though lovely, this is one of the few places I have visited that I did not feel was worth the time and money spent visiting.

Mogosoaia Palace is one of the most beautiful places in Romania. The Palace is stunning and the gardens are very well-kept. This is a great place to relax and protect yourself from the sun.
This is one of the oldest buildings near Bucharest and is well worth a visit any time.

I was there during a very hot day and I was pleased to visit the palace and the grounds. There is a lake there, a church and of course a restaurant and a terace. We had a nice quite afternoon there. The place wasn't very busy and we were happy to find a parking space very easy.

A lovely old palace. Really well restored. Lovely grounds too. We went about 15 years ago and it was nothing like it is now. A bit of a drive out of the city so you may need an organised trip if you don't have your own transport.

Is an incredible part of the Bucharest neighborhood area. 17 km from the center of the Bucharest, on the edgeofMogosoaia lake, is easy to find and to get there. The palace was build by the martyr romanian king Constantin Brancoveanu. He build a palace and create an architectonic style. The palace, the gardens and thepark create an armonious system which give you the opportunity to spend an incredible day. A day could be not enough to taste the Mogosoaia parfume. You find in the park the grills and you can make there a steak. Just be prepare for....Ifyou try to find a perfect place for your wedding....try Mogosoaia palace. Probably is the best you can find. This place have an amazing culture mixture which include mediteranean, oriental ,romanian and western notes, everything "baked" in a simple mixture which is worldwode known as the Brancovenean arhitectonic style. If you visit Bucharest you MUST spend sometime here. Probably you will get in love forever.
