No offense, but the person saying "expensive" likely doesn't travel much, or paid a lot more than I did ($80 average). Country Inns are generally reliable as a chain. I've only had one bad experience with one (Atlanta, which was horrible). Other than that, never had a complaint. Here's the lowdown on this one IMHO: THE GOOD: The breakfast is decent with a good variety. Have no idea where CI and Drury get their eggs (plastic factory?) but I'd skip 'em. The waffles are great. Inventor of these deserves a gold star. The room was clean and of decent size. The pool was clean and warm. No exercise room but they said they own Best Western next door and could use it for free. The cookies and apples in the lobby were one of the best touches. THE BAD: The soundproofing was minimal. Sounded like a congo line upstairs. (Everytime I forget to insist on top floor I pay the price). Bed was very hard. This is a place where other hotels have upgraded lately and it really shows when a hotel has poor mattresses. Had trouble getting a reliable Wi-Fi signal. OVERALL: For $80 a night, very solid value. The location is on the better side of Clinton and seems to be within the pickup zone of the casino van, if you are into such things. Close to Wal Mart and other shopping, but not so close as to be noisy.
