Plane Crash Site of Buddy Holly

This is a great memorial to the three musicians who died that day. It is simple, secluded, and quiet. Guided by Buddy Holly's glasses at the corner of Gull Ave and 315th St, you can walk down about a quarter mile to the crash site in the field and pay your respects; it is so kind of the landowners to allow travelers to enter their private property.

The drive and walk are well worth it to pay tribute to three wonderful musicians. The items left should be picked up every once in a while though.

Wanted to see the crash site to pay respects to great musical memories. It's a shame there isn't someone locally to keep the site a little more presentable.

A small memorial is located at the place the plane came to rest. It is located on private property but people may walk the 1/4 mile along the fence line to reach the memorial. A definite yes

We took the 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk from the nearest road to get to the crash site. It is located along a fence line on private property at the edge of a cornfield. Many fans have left momentos at the memorial and we felt it needed a little cleaning up.
