Great traditional ethnic food.
Seriously hearty... so bring loose pants.
If you have a chance try the brunch. For such a small place it is amazingly good.

“Taste of the old country in Cedar Rapids”
Reviewed July 28, 2007

This restaurant offers sturdy Czech fare in a cozy setting with attentive service. The generously portioned pierogi appetizers could have been a meal in themselves. The roast duck dinner put me in mind of Thanksgiving, with the roast bird, and sides that were tart/sweet (red cabbage) and starchy (bread and potato dumplings). Gulash is also available. Dessert was a comforting serving of apricot palatschinken (crepes), made a touch too sweet by an unnecessary confectioners' sugar glaze. Czech beers are on the menu, but no central European wines, and a good Tokay would have paired very nicely with the duck. Service was very kind and welcoming.
