This is obviously a brand new hotel, nonetheless it still deserves an excellent review. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was excellent value at £29 for a twin and the breakfast was also excellent at £8.50 each.
The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable and the TV had Freeview. Wi-fi was available free for 30 mins and chargeable thereafter. There was no outside noise on the second floor.
We arrived too late for an evening meal so cannot comment on that, however, it is a Beefeater Grill so should be OK. The Beefeater restaurant was used for breakfast in the morning and was clean and well presented.
Breakfast was cereal and/or full cooked and the portions were generous. Cereals, tea/coffee and toast were self serve; the cooked mreakfast was waitress service. All excellent.
Check out was easy and trouble free. Note that you have to pay when you check in but that is not unreasonable.
We used it as a stop off en-route to the Highlands and would thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed here for two nights, myself, my husband and daughter, initial impression was really good, the receptionists were very welcoming and helpful, offering guidance and advice on what was local and how to get to the places that we wanted to visit. The rooms were spotless, basic but perfect for, what we required. The breakfasts were delicious, cooked to order, you can eat as much as you like . . . .??? We ate at the Beefeater Grill, which is part of the hotel, the service was really good, staff attentive and nothing was a problem, the food was delicious, but bit expensive, the plus point is that you can have a drink and no need to drive anywhere . . . . just walk through to the hotel . . . ; - )

Room Tip: Top floor, away from the lift, lovely and quiet, never heard any of the other guests . . .

I live local to the area and myself and my partner simply booked in to this hotel as we had booked a meal at the Beefeater restaurant right next door and wanted to have a drink and make a night out it so to speak.
It is just newly build and had only been open approx a few weeks when we stayed over.
As with all Premier inns fantastic value for the money very comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay.
It is extremely handy to get to from the M77 motorway ,the Newton Mearns area has expanded greatly over the years and although it is very hard to believe it was once just a tiny wee village surrounded by lovely countryside.
I do highly recommend the Beefeater steak house next door and as we are local we as a family have visited a number of times but i would add if you can manage to get there and book table before 6.30pm the prices are much cheaper as they have a day time set menu and the saving is great if you have kids.

I love Premier Inns for the sheer quality/price. This is a cracker. Brand new and having a fantastic adjoining restaurant, much used by locals on a night out. We had lovely steaks and there was a great kids option too. Rooms as usual for Premier Inn were spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. For £29 a night this level of satisfaction was unbeatable.

I stayed here for two nights in May. Overall it's what I expected from a budget property. The whole check in process took less that three minutes which I was impressed with, and all details were correct. The hotel has two floors with lift access to all. There is also the addition of added security where no one can access the floors without a room key. Staff were all very friendly

The room is a standard however a good size. As a newly opened property everything was fresh and new. The flat screen TV is slightly to small as when watching from your bed you can struggle to read the guide or any small text on the screen.

Premier inn offer two types of pillow. Firm and soft both of which are present in the room. No need to call. Room comes tea and coffee making facilities, open wardrobe, pillow selection, soap and bath gel. No in room safes which I found to be disappointing.

Bathroom was plain white with bathtub and shower.

I Personally found the bed to be quite firm however, that is just personal choice.

As budget there is no room service. Adjacent to the hotel is a beefeater which serves the premier breakfast, lunch and dinner. I did not visit either. I did visit the beefeater on a previous occasion for dinner and found it to be very reasonable.

The hotel is right next to M77 J4. Once you come off your turn left at the round about you cannot miss it. FYI there is also a Waitrose supermarket and Tesco Metro directly across the road from the hotel should you require anything. A five minute drive into Newton Mearns you also have The Avenue shopping centre with has Marks & Spencers, Next, Asda etc.

Wifi is available and very reasonable. You get 30 minutes free and it's only 3 pounds per 24 hours unlike other hotels chains charging 15 for 24 hours. Very fast and reliable. You can pay with credit/debit card and Paypal.

Overall as it is brand new you cant get better for the money I suppose unless you go independent/best western. AS long as they maintain the property it's good for an over night stop.

Upon arrival I was greeted with an empty reception, never good. I called out to a lady in a corridor who appeared to be sporting the Premier uniform, who promptly arrived to assist. She booked me in swiftly and efficiently, and above all with a smile. The room was easy to find, and keycard entry was easy. The rooms are functional, but very bland, with no sense of character or branding. TV took ages to work, so gave up. Bed was not as comfortable as Lenny Henry would have you believe, and there was an annoying digital bedside clock which looks like a lighthouse in the middle of the night - way too bright. Bathroom was just ordinary, functional. A bit of a downside is no non-slip mat/surface in the bath. If the base of the bath is wide enough to stand comfortably, no problem, but if the bath is snug and curved at the base edges, a recipe for disaster. I nearly slipped twice. I had dinner at the attached beefeater, which was a blend of good and bad points. To start with the plus, the service was friendly and helpful at every turn, a smile goes so far. On the minus side, our order took ages in a not so busy restaurant, and when it arrived, one out of two meals was wrong, however, this was rectified, albeit with a delay, and apologies made. Would definitely stay and eat again.
