“Nice lunch”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

Had a great spicy sausage soup and very good sandwiches (ground salmon and chicken with bacon, mushooms, onions and cheese) This restaurant is in the middle of the downtown and very basic in appearance.

“The best lobster risotto in the midwest!”
Reviewed March 24, 2012

We had family from Wisconsin visiting and we thought we would try something different. We had heard from other people the Water Street Market/Happy Bean (originally just a coffee shop) had a wonderful dinner menu. My wife and I ordered vegetarian soup with a mixed green salad. The soup was a garlic roasted leek soup. It was heaven in a bowl. I could only eat about 12 bite it was so filling. My wife's aunt and uncle ordered the lobster risotto. They have had lobster risotto many time across the globe. They said, this was by far the best risotto they have ever ate! They insisted on meeting the chef to congratulate him on his great dish. The couple have drove from Milwaukee to Bellevue again for a overnight get away just to stop and have the risotto again.

“A Small Town Surprise with a City Flair”
Reviewed March 10, 2012

The interior of the restaurant is simple, clean, and the tables are nicely presented with linen table cloths and napkins. The dinnerware, utensils, and glassware are what one would expect in more of a fine dining restaurant. All staff---greeter, server, cashier---were pleasant, personable, and attentive to our needs throughout the evening. The bar choices are somewhat limited, especially for those who prefer mixed drinks, but our group of four found adequate beverages. Meals ordered included a ribeye steak, salmon, a spinach salad with tortilla soup, and a garden salad with french onion soup. All were served hot, in a timely manner with a nice presentation and were excellent---both in taste and portion size. For dessert , blueberry-lemon cheesecakes were ordered and we all felt they were just ok. Although some of the prices might have been a little high for a small town, our party of four felt they were justified for quality and service. received. We would definitely return.
