We had Mother's Day luncheon here and it was a good experience. There were two seatings, 11 AM & 1 PM. We chose the latter and the place was packed. You can tell from the chatter around you that patrons were enjoying themselves. Our table was ready and waiting exactly on time. Service was quick and the menu items were explained. The choices varied from two salads, a salmon quiche, baked French toast, scrambled egg plate and more.
Our food arrived within a short period of time, fresh and prepared as expected. Along with most entrees there was a choice of soup or salad. The French toast and egg entrees included roasted and fried redskins, sausage or bacon, fruit cup and all included scones. Rather than present a dessert menu our waitperson brought four different choices; all were excellent albeit we were nearly too full to completely enjoy them. We shared tastes of a pecan torte, chocolate cake, a divine lemon chiffon cake and carrot cake. All are prepared by the establishment. Hot tea service is available as well. The experience was excellent and earned a re-visit at another date.
