“Lovely Spot for Dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2014

Ciao is one of those restaurants where you walk in and immediately feel comfortable. Nice interior - lots of warmth, you're not sitting on top of other diners, and you don't feel rushed. We chose to sit upstairs on the outdoor balcony. Kind of odd how you get there, but it still works. Our waiter, Tim, was excellent. It's worth requesting him. His recommendation for wine, dinner, and dessert were spot on. My daughter's walleye was superb! Great flavor and texture. My pasta and dessert were simply delicious. Memorable.

I'm real picky about noise levels. I really don't want to hear what the other diners are saying. Can't say what the level was inside, but outside was very nice.

“Italian al fresco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2014

One of the best Italian meals I've had - tortellini and gnocchi dishes were homemade and delicious. We ate late, al fresco and felt unrushed and very welcomed. The entire experience was reminiscent of northern Italian dining. Will definitely go back and try some of the other meals. One of the nicest things about their al fresco dining is that you can (and do) chat with other al fresco diners and people on the street - very European! We certainly enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere!!

“I expect more from this restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 11, 2014

The service is excellent and the atmosphere too. My choice was "Frutti di Mare" pasta, not so good. I had the impression that was cooked in the microwave oven. Also my glass of wine wasn't cold enough.
If I come back I would not try again a pasta.
The location is pretty good, you can even walk around after dinner.

“Great everything! - Food, atmosphere and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 26, 2014

My mother was visiting and we wanted to take her to a nice restaurant that was not too noisy. Ciao was the perfect choice! It was a blustery night and we got to sit by the fire. The service was great - efficient and not rushed. And the meal was fantastic - from the Torta Di Formaggi appetizer to the main dishes to the Chocolate crepe for dessert - it was a lovely evening.
Can't wait to go back!
Or, maybe even try one of their cooking classes!!

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2014

We just went to Ciao by Villagio for the 2nd time and again we were very impressed with the experience. It is a very good atmosphere and when we go out to dinner without the little ones we like a nice relaxed meal and that is what we got. We did not feel rushed at all. The wine list probably has about 50 selections and is a good list.

For appetizers we have had the arancini and calamari both of which were very good and we would definitely get both again. All entrees we have had have been great. It is the best Italian food we have had in the Indy area and we will continue to be frequent customers.
