Consistently good food, reasonable prices and a nice atmosphere. The service is good, the food is almost always well prepared and the servers do a great job. The hot bread and dipping sauce are first rate.

The first thing you notice when you walk into the restaurant is the elegant decor. You are greeted by a gracious hostess prepared to accommodate your dinning needs. The service staff is attentive without being pushy. You have a variety options on the extensive menu. Everything my friends and I have sampled have not disappointed. The only negative is that we have never had room for dessert!

We have lived in Zionsville for several years and have always enjoyed Stone Creek in the past. The service and the food have consistently been excellent. Last week my wife and I went to Stone Creek with two other couples on a Saturday night for drinks and dinner. The first thing we noticed when entering the restaurant was that the nice stone tile floors in the entryway were covered with a thin film of dirty greese and were slippery. Next, we were seated at our table which was too small for our party, in spite of the fact that we had a reservation days in advance and there were many tables available in the restaurant when we arrived at 8pm. When our server eventually came to the table he served room temperature tap water out of glass bottles that had a slightly "off" taste. When we requested bottled water he stated that they no longer offer it. When we asked for ice and lemons for the water he seemed exasperated and only returned 10 minutes later with ice. Getting lemons to counteract the taste of the water required two more requests. The server did not offer any specials. In the past the specials have been a highlight when dining at Stone Creek. Again, after asking about specials the server seemed exasperated. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. After waiting for at least 20 minutes for the wine and only after we had our entrees for 10 minutes, the server returned to inform us that the wine we selected was out of stock. The quality of the food we received was not up to the usual Stone Creek standards. It was not hot when it arrived and the portions seemed appropriate for lunch vs. dinner. Overall, our party was very disappointed and was left wondering if Stone Creek is under new ownership or management. We certainly did not feel that the restaurant deserved over $250 (the amount of our check) for our very poor experience, and we have no plans to return in the future. If the restaurant is under new management, we hope that the owner will act quickly to correct the issues. Stone Creek used to be a reliable place for an outstanding dining experience.

Visited Stone Creek for the first time since moving back to the area. The atmosphere is very sophisticated but not stuffy. The cocktails were delicious but my boyfriend had to try 3 different beer orders before getting one the bar actually had in stock which was a little frustrating but otherwise, most of our expectations were met. The bread and dipping sauce were a great start, not your traditional french bread and Olive oil. We both had the beef medallions which came with garlic mashed potatoes, spinach, garlic, tomatoes, and a delicious grilled portabello cap. Very good compliment to the perfectly grilled steak medallions. We'll definitely be back!

I made reservations for an early Sunday dinner after seeing this restaurant on a search for the area of Zionsville, Indiana as this area is known for its quaintness and good food. We arrived at 2:30 pm and didn't get out until two hours later, my first complaint. Business was very slow this early on a Sunday but two hours, come on. It was about fifteen minutes before getting our drinks and seven to ten to get some bread. Things were progressing very slowly.
We finally ordered French onion soup appetizer, seafood broil, pork tenderloin with mushroom ragout and carrot cake for dessert.
The French onion soup had apparently been sitting too long and become too concentrated so it was so salty it was inedible. The chef actually made a fresh batch for us which was great for him to have done. We appreciated the extra mile he went to. The new batch was a little salty but much better.
The pork tenderloins with the mushroom sauce looked and tasted great according to my wife and the seafood broil looked great but was a little flavorless with the exception of the cocktail sauce which really enhanced the shrimps appeal and opened up my sinuses as an added benefit.
The carrot cake was very, very good and was a definite highlight.
Overall I would go back to this restaurant for another try but if the service is this slow again there is no way I will continue to go here.
Overall even with the extended wait I liked the restaurant and the waitress was very warm and friendly. I hope the poor performance was a fluke and I suspect it was.
Total bill $78 +
