This was our second visit to The Italian House on Park. While our first was quite good, this time we were not impressed. Our waitress was rather inattentive. She would approach the table and when we were talking she would just walk away. The real deal killer was the food. One of our guests ordered the veal parm and it looked as though it was deep fried...almost like fried chicken. My husband had the scallops: three bland scallops and five asparagus spears for $28. I had the Fruiti de Mare and the ratio of seafood to linguini was about 50 to 1. The flatbread appetizer was good but the calamari was tasteless. And the presentation left a lot to be desired; it looked as though the calamari was just thrown on the place with a plastic cup of sauce on the side. The table next to us was roaring and we could hardly converse with each other. We skipped dessert. It was a real letdown from our previous experience. Perhaps they have changed chefs or management but I'm not anxious to try it again.
