Prefer to order out rather than eat at the place, little quite and dark. More of a bar. But the food was very good

I have been here many times. there is always billing disputes. they charge more for drinks. some people who consume alcohol and are too intoxicated to check their bills are charged for stuff they haven't even ordered. Their alcohol is diluted and overpriced. its a college town bar where i have seldom found people making out in their restrooms. the "hookah lounge" is trying too hard but unfortunately it feels like a cheap hangout place. The food is sometimes tasty but everytime i eat it I get an upset stomach. the Owners are rude and the service is useless. and mostly its the young college crowd. some of them do not even look old enough to drink.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I visited Bombay today with a group of my colleagues. We did look for a chill out place rather then restaurant,so the atmosphere was good up till 10 pm,when they raised their music so loud that i couldn't even hear the person next to me talk.
Further, i do not drink much, usually go out every 2-3 month, but i do know how drinks are expected to taste. I ordered sex on the beach 3 times, and even after i complained that 80 of it was water they still kept on bringing me the same thing ($8 per drink).
Finally, although i used to like their food before, they made it too spicy (i have been eating indian food for 3 years almost everyday now, so i do know the spice levels) .......

Great Indian food but conversion into a bar has transformed it into a smokers club rather than a sit-down restaurant. The emphasis is more on booze and buds rather than food.

This used to be a nice Indian restaurant, with a large menu at dinner time and a nice buffet for lunch.
It has now been reborn as "Bombay Hookah Lounge". The menu has been gutted, and it's dark and full of smoke. It used to have white tablecloths, and now it looks like my basement when I was a teenager. Being right by the Purdue University campus, maybe this will be a profitable move. But if you're looking for a nice restaurant to have dinner in, look elsewhere.
