Mason's Root Beer Drive-In is a surviving relic of the past. Their coney dogs (regular or foot long) are to die for. You can still get root beer in frosted mugs and the car hops are quick and friendly. They have regular hamburger stand items as well as their own specialty sandwiches. The food here is always fresh and made to order. It is a seasonal restaurant opening in the spring and closing sometime in late fall. Perhaps this is part of their success. Knowing that they are not always available makes it all the more important to catch them during their open season. Regardless, they are a destination and an experience that is hard to find any more. I hope they are there for many years to come.
