El Amigo has been a favorite for many years. We are from Texas, so good Mexican food is a staple in eating out.
The building is newly remodeled and furnished (2010). The same owners and cooks are there, thankfully. The menu is varied and authentic. The salsa is 'just right hot'.
We prefer thinner chips, but these are crispy and never stale.
The sope is piled with beans, meat, avocado, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. Ask for extra cilantro chopped on top. All for under $3.00.
