Fun to watch the Amish come in for their pizzas...good specials and although not a fancy place...it has a country decor and comfortable. The homemade goodies we're delish!

Our party of four was spending the day (Sept 13-2013) with our Amish friend in Shipshewana, Indiana. After we left a nearby produce auction event, our host said he was going to take us somewhere special for lunch, in his buggy. He sure was not kidding. We instantly fell in love with the decor that reminded us of a similar restaurant that was once in operation in Banff, Alberta but has since closed. The special this day was chicken stir fry. We all ordered this and it was excellent. A real home cooked meal.
Some Amish women were also eating there along with their children who were as always so well behaved. It was a joy just to relax in this atmosphere. Seating here is limited and that is why our tour coach in the past has never been able to stop here. You just cannot wander in with 52 people. We did not try any of the desserts as no one was hungry after this wonderful meal.

Stopped here just for desert. Loved the old fashion style. Got a piece of apple pie that looked great. Filling was as expected but the crust was like pure lard. could not eat it. Rating based only on that pie. Would go back to try the daily special special.

Wow, what an interesting place. The Emma Cafe is in an old general store with several tables and an antique soda fountain. Service was very good and the food interesting. I had Beef and Noodles, a local dish, which oddly enough is served over mashed potatoes. While it may be carb overload it was very tasty. My wife had a tuna melt which she also enjoyed. Just a fun little place with good food and a lot of history.
