Based on glowing reviews on this site plus a reasonable internet price, we booked this hotel. Our opinion having stayed there: nothing special and a bit on the worn side.

The staff was pleasant and seemed to try to please guests. Our room was on the interstate side of the hotel, and we heard traffic noises--not terrible, but the noise was there. When we exited the elevator to our non smoking floor, the smell of smoke was in the air. It was not in the room.

The evening hospitality hour was nice, and the drinks were good. Although we were expecting food type appetizers, the nachos and chex mix and veggies were better than those we'd had on a previous trip at the Springhill Suites just across the interstate. It's our understanding that food items like meatballs will be added in January.

The breakfast was several notches above the usual "free" hotel breakfast.

Based on our stay, we'll opt for the newer and quieter Springhill Suites if we are in Terre Haute again.

Totally overrated hotel. The say free hot food in the evening. It consisted of broken nacho chips...some melted cheese....chex mix....and nasty celery and carrots. 2 bugs in the room..stains on the bed and walls. Just a nasty over rated hotel. Also over heared the construction workers getting their free beer say they weren't even staying there. They just showed up for the drinks. Stay away.

We checked in at the Pear Tree Inn, next to Drury Inn. I asked if there was a microwave and fridge and was told there wasn't, but she called the Drury Inn, apparently run by the same company, and got us a king non-smoking room. The room was a little small but VERY nicely decorated and clean. Very friendly staff! We got a doggie welcome bag with 2 treats and poop bags. Good pet walking areas. No pet fee! You also got two free drinks and appetizers from 5 to 7p.m. Breakfast was sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese and ham to sprinkle on them, biscuits, with sausage gravy, French toast, cereals, breads, muffins and bagels. Good value. Would definitely stay there again!

and we are very impressed. The staff and the extras, such as free app.etizers and cocktails in the lobby are the best. We are going to stay at two more Drury Inns in the next two nights. we'll see if they all measure up.

Day 2 of our move out West. Having stayed at Drury hotels before, I was expecting a similar experience. Very nice check-in service, made it for evening cocktails and snacks. Room is nothing out of the ordinary, bathroom was nice, as were towels. Bed was very comfortable. Do not stay in the open courtyard area if the smell of food will bother you. Hotel was very quiet. Minimal road noise despite being right next to a gas station. Breakfast was better than some other Drurys. Very clean, no complaints there, pool was not the greatest, but everything else was fine. Free phone calls is a plus. Would stay there again.
