The place is a little dated but it is clean and is in a good location. They offer breakfast, coffee and Wi-Fi and that is all we needed. We would stay there again when we are in town. The price was an excellent deal.

That's how my husband summed up our hotel experience within the first 30 minutes. First of all, we booked via hotels.com, walked in with our confirmation email, and were told that our credit card had declined and had to buy the room twice. It took 15 minutes on the phone with hotels.com and the manager to get the second charge refunded. Our room smelled like smoke, but the bed itself had an unpleasant organic odor when I pulled back the comforter. I actually had an asthma attack brought on by the poor air quality. Also lacking was any sort of wifi connection. Oh, I got connected to the "free wifi," but the connection was so poor, it wouldn't even connect to Facebook. The shower was fine, but the towels were limited. You get two so ask for more. This hotel was so bad, I wouldn't even use it for free by the hour with George Clooney beckoning me naked on the bed. I would just think, "Ew, the bed just touched George Clooney!!" But if you are homeless, or stranded in a snowstorm and you will perish without shelter, you will enjoy this hotel. Maybe. But if you have asthma, you may do better outside. Gee, that's a tough one now that I think about it...

Stayed their twice this month while criss-crossing states. The seasonsal special price of $45 ($52 with taxes) made it the best deal in the area. It's an older building but we thought it was great for what we needed and were looking for. Check in was nice and easy. Ed was the night clerk who checked us in and he was efficient and friendly both times. He even helped us out when our heating unit didn't appear to be working by switching rooms for us. Rooms were fine...there were some upgrades in the decor but also little things weren't painted, some elements were still outdated, etc. It was as if there was a budget to keep and certain things were targeted to be upgraded/replaced. So if you're big into attention to every detail, you'll notice those kinds of things. For example, I think the comforter was an older design, the painting(s) were screwed into the wall, water fixtures, etc. BTW, the sink water fixtures in both rooms squeeked loudly when you turned them so if you get a drink in the middle of the night, it's loud enough to wrestle people from their slumber. There were 3 pillows which was nice and the bed was firm...not a bad thing, just an observation. The room did have a safe we didn't use...but in one room the door of the safe kept on swinging open which could be dangerous if you trip or run into it at night. I wedged a tissue in the door to keep it closed during our stay. The LCD TV was actually big with good reception so a plus there. Breakfast we your typical fare...DIY waffles, cereal, coffee, milk, juice, sausage gravy and biscuits. It was all fine and well stocked. The fitness room is off the dining area which was interesting...all cardio gear that appeared to work...so kudos for having some options. Bottom line, we'd stay there again for this price.

Stayed here with our Robotics team for a competition. We were late getting reservations, so this was one of the few hotels still available.

I had communicated with the manager in advance and given her the list of names for each room. In the past with other hotels, this meant that the rooms and keys would be ready when I showed up to check in. I had also called ahead that day to tell him what time I would be arriving. When I showed, the desk clerk acted like he didn't even know we were coming. I had to start from scratch. The check in was hand-written paper with carbon copies. No computer printout.

The rooms were old, tired and smelled of smoke. The sheets were dingy (clean, but dingy). The toilet was loose. One of the rooms in our block had wet carpet.

Breakfast was free, and we got what we paid for. There was no milk for the cereal.

The room was very clean and everything was in the right place. The only complaint I had was that someone had smoked in the room previous to me and the smell was very obvious. There was great wi-fi signal in the room and everything else was good.

I have this past weekend (Jan 8th, 2014) stayed at one of their "Fantasy Suites" with the western theme. It was a absolutely a great place...The attention to details was unbelievable. When you flip the switch, the in-ground water pump for the horse drinking place comes on, the attention to detail decors down to the toilet paper holder with antlers, were great! The room was very clean, bed was great oval bed. the two room suites had TV's in both the rooms. Breakfast was great and people were friendly.
