Went to the facility expecting to see where the Dallara chassis were produced. Paid the admission to the facility and for the "tour". Saw several show cars. Tour consisted of taking us through the general admission part of the facility. Didn't really learn anything more than if I did the walk thru on my own. Hearing about the new Dallara simulator was interesting. Explained how they had to make sure the roof was high enough to make sure it fit. One problem, the tour does not take you to at least look at it. When the tour was over, a guest asked if we were going to see the production room of the chassis...unfortunately, that too is off limits to look at because they are working on a government contract and due to security concerns, the tour can not allow access to the facility where production takes place. Maybe just me but I thought that was the main purpose of the "tour". It is new so hopefully they will work on providing a quality tour and experience. Finally, very little activity going on for a weekday. (Painting, touch ups, etc). Guide said workers were at st Pete for the indycar race.
