I didn't experience any problems whatsoever. Third floor, quiet, clean and comfortable. Exactly what I was looking for, staff courteous and helpful. Needed scissors to open earbuds (really, who designed those plastic vacuum packed contraptions!) and front desk was all over it. Lots of choices in this area and this was a good value and dbl points.

Room was OK and clean. Location was OK. Staff was not so courteous. No in-room fridge or microwave. Bed was comfortable. In-room couch was quite old. Complimentary breakfast was so so and did not see a piece of fruit in the two days I stayed.

With our lobby renovation now complete, we look forward to our full Guest room renovations to come in the winter of 2013/2014. I'm sorry that our Fruit Basket was difficult to locate, we do offer fresh fruit daily along with the 24 hour coffee station. We hope that you will visit again, allowing us an opportunity to provide with an excellent experience. Noisy heating system is the only thing that was wrong with the stay. The hotel is on a busy road with many fast food and other hotels. McDonald's adjacent creates some noise too. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious, clean and in good condition. Close to Notre Dame but NOT close enough to walk.

I was unable to get a room at another Hilton property close to the river, the Hampton Inn, and this was the only option available in the Hilton family. I was disappointed almost instantly. I noticed 'out of order' signs on the computers for guest use in the lobby and there was an odd smell in the lobby. I requested a king but ended up with a double room. For my inconvenience, they reduced my hotel rate. But even a kind staff couldn't make up for the fact that I could hear the people all around me (their footsteps, their voices, etc.) and a dingy room.

Dear BFR1920, We appreciate your feedback. It is wonderful to hear over and over again from our Guests that our Staff is continually creating that warm experience for them and going above and beyond to make our Guests feel valued and welcome. Please accept our sincere apologies that the Business Center computers were not up & running during your visit. We have just completed our lobby renovation, with that the business center was relocated and we were awaiting installation of the jacks in that area so we could get them up & running. Please know that in the event you ever need assistance, our Staff would be more than happy to allow you the use of one of our office computers. Our apologies as well for any odd odor, with the completion of the renovation in March, we did have some touch up staining on our new woodwork that did emit an odor. In late November, we begin our renovation project on the remainder of the hotel. Our housekeeping staff works hard on a daily basis to keep the rooms clean and fresh. I hope that you will try our hotel again and give us the opportunity to earn your trust and confidence in the brand and our hotel specifically.

This is a typical Hampton Inn, with the rooms, breakfast and other features very predictable... That is why I frequent them. The beds have clean covers, the rooms are clean and the staff has been friendly.

Never check in late at night or on the first floor of a hotel. Besides the security issues and prying eyes from the parking lot the carpets seem to have the most wear and tear. This stay was no different and actually worse.

Upon moving a small table from the corner to set my briefcase on I noticed what looked like chewed on carpet. It was clearly being hidden by the position of the table. Also....there were dirty track marks worn into the entrance of the room. You could easily see this in the day time and from an angle too

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that the appearance of some areas of the rooms were not satisfactory. I have asked our staff to look into the issue mentioned of the carpet being torn in the corner of the room so that we can make the necessary repairs. Our housekeeping staff works diligently in each and every room of the hotel to make sure they are 100% clean and fresh. Our carpet in many areas of the hotel is a bit tired. We steam clean regularly and do our best to keep up especially in those high traffic areas. Sharing good news, we are in line for a full renovation at the end of 2013 and early 2014. I hope that you will return to our property again soon. We will be ready to unveil our new Perfect MIx Lobby and Fitness Center in March of this year.

Kudos to the staff of this Hampton Inn. At no point did they treat us differently because we were with a group of young boys and hockey families as other hotels have done. They were wonderful. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. They had hot chocolate available which was great for the boys (and their sisters) after our games. Did have that little problem with the sheets popping off of the beds, but that is because they are so fluffy and comfortable.
Decent complimentary breakfast as well. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: We were in a corner suite that faced the main road. Roomy but noisier than I imagine one closer to...
