This hotel was awesome! The people were nice, helpful and very kind to us. We have stayed there two years in a row. I stayed with my mom, my friends and their mom and has been amazing every time! Your money and time will be worth it!! Try to get a room on the top floor though. A lot less noisy.

This is a nice place to stay with a group as there is a penthouse that is quite spacious. It is located in a quiet residential area which is nice. However the property needs updating. The manager was extremely responsive to our requests but the overall look and feel of this unit does not match what we expected with the Marriott name.

Room Tip: Penthouse is large.

We stayed at this property for six nights while our child was at camp at University of Notre Dame. It's a quick drive to campus and restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The rooms are clean, if a bit dated in decor. We normally don't choose a Residence Inn because we don't need the kitchen, etc. But, it did come in handy during a 6 night stay.

While there, an electrical explosion and fire requried us to vacate our room and move to three other rooms during our remaning 4 days. And, of course, this was during the 100 degree heat wave. But, hotel manager Sean Paulsson was very attentive, helpful and willing to do anything to make our stay a bit more comfortable and convenient. He had a lot of angry guests on his hands and did everything he could to make us happy. Kudso to him.

My only other complaint are hotel guest with their dogs. As people who suffer from allergies and asthma, I really hate people who sneak their dogs into hotel rooms. We ran into this in South Bend. Upon leaving our room, my daughter was challenged by a large German Sheperd dog who was not on a lease. Of course she was very frightened. This dog was huge and the owner was letting it run free. I'm sure the owners did not tell the front desk of this large dog because there was a sign indicating large dogs had to be seen before they could be permitted on property.

Again, our experience was positive, and the place is very convient to campus.

This is an old school Residence Inn with buildings laid out in a semi-circle around the main lobby building - kind of a campus setting. We love this type of RI because the older designs have larger rooms and a completely separate kitchen area. We were on the outside ring of buildings and had lawn directly outside and behind out building where we could walk the dogs. The campus setting is quieter than the newer "hotel style" RI's. With these properties being older there is more of an upkeep / refresh challenge but this hotel was pretty good overall. The pool is outdoors and is full sized. Very pet friendly. Front desk staff was friendly and competent. Housekeeping was easy to work with given we had pets and were not exactly on a morning schedule.

This property is extremely clean and comfortable. A bit hard to find but our GPS worked well thank goodness. Breakfast had a large variety of fruits, cereals, eggs, sausage, muffins, etc. Very nice and plenty of seating. The pool was not open on Memorial Day, but we probably wouldn't have used it anyway. Kids would have enjoyed it though as it was 97 degrees outside. When in the area we will be back. Thank you for your great service and attention to detail.

Like all Residence Inn's this one has all the amenities. A little off the highway but once there surrounded by restaurants. There is even a mall down the block.

I rented a two bedroom lofted suite with a gas fireplace for $159. The suite was very nice, large and comfortable. I was not disappointed with the value at all. My only complaint is it was chilly and we couldn't find the thermostate anyplace in the unit. And there was a coffee maker but no coffee to make. A small single cup keurig would be better with some k cups -- that would have been great. The gas fireplace was fabulous. Pay per view movies were expensive. And the included breakfast was ok but the paper plates were cheesy. Is it really too much trouble to let us use real plates and real mugs? Paper products are not eco friendly and really tacky!
