We still enjoy going to Fiddler's Hearth but lately we've had the same waiter and he seems to be on another planet. You can be sat there for ages waiting for a drink etc., and he is wandering around aimlessly (not taking care of business). Promises to bring a side plate and it never arrives. Says he's bringoing more poached eggs because the ones he brought were broken. He never did bring them etc....

Liked this place a lot......friendly, great martini's, good munchies and great overall. We stopped by for a night cap before returning to our lovely B&B at the Oliver Inn.

It's tough to find an Irish pub with good food...this is perhaps better described as a nice little restaurant with good Irish beers. We stopped through on a roadtrip, but if we lived closer we would be regulars. Great food, fun atmosphere and very friendly service!

Was in South Bend for a week and we liked it so much we ate there twice. The "Salmon of Knowledge" entree title intrigued us enough to try it and it was great! The Molly Malone Stew had a ton of seafood in it - delicious! Good irish soda bread and welsh rarebit too. Good food and prices.

A visit to South Bend is not complete without a visit to Fiddler's Hearth. Authentic Irish everything from the cuisine to the drinks to the music and atmosphere. The bar is graciously and gracefully tended. The food is wonderful. One of our favourites is the rascher bacon and cabbage but we recommend everything else. Great selections beers and Irish and Scots wiskey. Perfect place for a pint and a bite.
