“Restaurant on the River”
Reviewed December 19, 2012

A nice view of the river through ceiling to floor windows greets you as you come into the restaurant. Though the restaurant was full of holiday parties it felt as though we were still having a nice intimate dinner. We had the tomato bisque soup which was excellent. We both ordered steak which was cooked to perfection, although my husbands cut seemed a little tough he said. We were a bit disappointed that you no longer get a mini loaf of warm bread. They do serve you a basket of warm rolls. Ended up even having the triple chocolate cake for dessert. A very pleasant place for a nice evening out.

“A lovely atmosphere, but food not 5 star.”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

We made reservations and asked to be seated in the bar area overlooking the river. Instead, we were seated in a small dining area with other tables overlooking the wall and bannister.
The service was very good, and the wine list and prices good. Our waitress was attentive, and made sure that we were not neglected. The house dressing and salad were wonderful, but the cream of tomato bisque could have come from a can. I had Walleye which was tasty, but overcooked and the garlic mashed potatoes were good, but cold. The men chose the Prime Rib which they thought was flavorful, done beautifully, but a little tough. The wild rice was nice, but the side vegetables were simply sauteed squash. The rolls that were served were warm and delicious. My friend chose the Tilapia, and enjoyed it very much.
So overall, it was a very mixed dining experience for us. We will return again, but definitely will hope for a more balanced food quality.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

I have eaten here three times and have always found it excellent. The prime rib was outstanding, my husband's fish superb, and the view of the river makes the dining even nicer. Staff was gracious, and we felt that we had fine dinners that the price reflected appropriately. I love the setting where there are other stores, and I've been into the one where Swarovski crystal is for sale. I recommend the Emporium.

“Disappointing Food”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

The East Bank Emporium has a great location on the river and unique ambience but the menu is stuck in the 1970's. There is very little healthy, new, or unique on the menu. The salad has head lettuce only. The choices and quality are always a disappointment.

“wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, great service!”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

Our family was looking for a nice night outon our vacation. This fit the bill perfectly. Wonderful service, delicious steak, swordfish, and pasta, friendly, accommodating service. Just what we had hoped to find.
