We made reservations and asked to be seated in the bar area overlooking the river. Instead, we were seated in a small dining area with other tables overlooking the wall and bannister.
The service was very good, and the wine list and prices good. Our waitress was attentive, and made sure that we were not neglected. The house dressing and salad were wonderful, but the cream of tomato bisque could have come from a can. I had Walleye which was tasty, but overcooked and the garlic mashed potatoes were good, but cold. The men chose the Prime Rib which they thought was flavorful, done beautifully, but a little tough. The wild rice was nice, but the side vegetables were simply sauteed squash. The rolls that were served were warm and delicious. My friend chose the Tilapia, and enjoyed it very much.
So overall, it was a very mixed dining experience for us. We will return again, but definitely will hope for a more balanced food quality.
