We had received a gift certificate for $75.00, and were unable to use it right away. I had asked if there was an expiration date, and was informed there was not one. When we did go to celebrate our anniversary in April, we were informed at the end of our dinner that the certificate was not being honored anymore. I believe that the restaurant had changed hands, but the name stayed the same. They stated that a notice was posted about it, but we did not see anything as we left. I feel we should have been asked when we made the reservation if we had a gift certificate, to save us from embarrassment in front of the other diners. Luckily we had a credit card with us, otherwise I wonder how the situation would have been handled! I wrote to the manager, but never received the courtesy of a reply. Even honoring half of the amount would have satisfied us. Other businesses have stepped up to honor certificates from places going out of business. Tippecanoe Place is still there!!!!! This has been my favorite place to go for special occasions for many years. I now can no longer recommenc the restaurant.
