We had a Rehearsal Dinner for a wedding with 40 attending. I can't begin to tell you how pleased we were. We have been planning for months and working with Kevin. Everything was ready as planned, and Kevin did a great job 'sweating the details'. We arrived a bit late, but it was not an issue for the staff. We had a choice of Filet Mignon, Salmon or stuffed chicken. The vast majority had the Filet and loved it (the other two looked good though)! Kelly and another great woman (didn't get her name - sorry!) were our servers and absolutely tremendous. We could not have had better service. Sure, it's not inexpensive, but I thought VERY reasonable for what we had. People were having such a great time, we had to start shooing the wedding party out because of early wedding the next day! No one wanted to leave! The true testament was a day later at the wedding reception (not at Tippecanoe Place) when so many people told us what a great time they had the night before and how good the food was. THANK YOU!!!!

This magnificent building, on a corner lot with acreage, was owned by the Studebaker's and is an architectural masterpiece. Don't miss touring the home on your own after a great dinner in one of the several rooms for dining. The woodwork in the staircase is intricately carved, and the former library has a safe dating back many years. You probably couldn't reproduce this building today because of all the craftsmen involved! Worth seeing - and do have dinner, too!

As a 25+ year resident of the South Bend area, I've dined here many times. As one might think, the experience here has varied but has been mostly very good to excellent. Last evening, my wife and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary by enjoying dinner here. Our server Douglas, was excellent and the support staff did an equally good job. Our meals were outstanding! I had a perfectly prepared filet mignon with the butter and blue cheese compound and my wife enjoyed a chef's special of spiral pasta with shrimp and assorted vegetables. The combination of excellent food and service provided the perfect backdrop for our anniversary celebration. If you're searching for that one true fine dining experience for the perfect evening, you could do no better than Tippecanoe Place.

Good food and an amazing building - well worth exploring. Service was friendly. It was perhaps a little lacking in atmosphere, but only because when we arrived we were the only people in the huge restaurant. I imagine it's much more buzzy on a weekend.

The beautiful home of one of the Studebakers converted to a restaurant. A traditional menu (salads, steaks and pastas) and good service. Everyone liked their dinner choices. Portions were good size. I enjoyed my spinach salad, and those that had the wedge salad said it was very good. Prime ribs looked very good and filet mignon was delicious. All meats were cooked to the desired level. There was a wedding on the first floor. The staff were very friendly and encouraged us to walk around to see the different rooms after we finished dinner.
