Where to start?? First of all this is a prime location for anyone visiting the University of Notre Dame. There are very few places to stay that are in walking distance of so many amenities. My wife and I were in town for the unprecedented 6 hour football game this weekend and decided to walk to and from the stadium on each of the weather "delays". Although it would have been nice to stay in our seats for the duration of the game, lightning and football don't mix. It was an easy 10 minute walk so that was helpful. In addition, just up the street is the Eddy Street Commons where you can find all kinds of things to eat & drink.
As far at the hotel itself, we were very pleased with the size of the rooms and the attentiveness of the staff. Heather made us feel like family and was a concierge of sorts (I think she was the Manager on duty...ask for her!) The workout room was amazing! i have never seen that type of setup in ANY hotel I have stayed in. They also have wonderful breakfast options including cappuccino, waffles and eggs made however you want!
We will definitely be planning far enough ahead to book a room here for future visits to South Bend! They fill up quickly; we found this out the hard way earlier in the year.More
