This museum is the best (I think) in existence on the Mennonites, Amish, and Hutterites--we have seen all the sites in Lancaster County, PA.. My husband and I started at 2:30 or so and left at 6:00 p.m. (summer hours are one hour longer) and watched every presentation, pushed every button, read almost every word, and could have used more time in the gift shop. For those who have small children, you could just walk through the dungeon without listening to the explanation (tell the staff you wish to do so) and skip the tornado room. It is worth taking your time. The gift shop has lots of great books you will want to check out. The staff will even give recommendations for accommodations in town and help you locate items you are looking for (I was helped to find canning jar lids at the E & S Supply store--absolutely do not miss that store for bulk food and an inexpensive and nutritious lunch.) We live in New York and would return a second time in a heart beat.
