We were driving through Shipshewana, and stopped to have a dinner in this restaurant. We chose it as being in the "Amish County" we were curious to see something interesting and Amish :)
The food was very simple, but good. I usually prefer something more fancy. But this time we just wanted to see what Amish foods are like. There is plenty of food on the plates, be prepared for the doggy box. And we didn't even try "family style", as we were only two ladies, and we figured there would be no way for us to get any advantage of the family style meal. We could not even handle the individual portion.
For us the main thing was "the experience", and we got it. I liked the interior of the place, we bought some Amish bread, jams and pickles in the bakery as souvenirs, we took a ride in a horse carriage, and enjoyed watching the carriages with horses parked at the gas station - as though they were cars :)))
