Booking a hotel close to Indy at this time of the year can be difficult and the hotel I normally stay in was full. Ended up here and was quite pleased. Very nice and helpful staff. Very clean. Room was recently upgraded and very nice.

Unfortunately the walls and floors are paper thin. No problem during waking hours but tough when trying to sleep. Also a negative when the construction workers have their alarms set for a 4am wake up.

Overall, will not make this my regular but will stay here if the HI Express or Fairmont are full.

I am glad to know that your stay was much better that anticipated and knowing the fact that you will consider us in the future, if need be! I am sorry that the room you were placed in was next to workers who wake up early in the morning. If you ever do stay at the Quality Inn again, we would be more than happy to give you a room that is further away from anything that may disturb your good night's rest. We spent one night at this hotel in Seymour. It is a simple hotel, but very comfortable and clean. The color scheme that they chose is not attractive (the exterior is red, yellow, and white), but if you can look beyond it, then you'll find that it is an excellent value, in spite of the old carpet in the hallways. This hotel has a small business center, a nice indoor swimming pool and "spa", a laundry room, and a fitness center. We used the fitness center. It has a very good treadmill, a stationary bycicle, and another machine. Nothing fancy, but nice.
The room was large and comfortable. The carpet in the room was nice. Again, the color scheme was not attractive (red wall and burgundy bedspread and curtains), but it had a small fridge and a microwave oven, which is always nice. The bathroom was small but clean.
The breakfast room was large and nice, and breakfast was good.
The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, especially a guy named Mike.

Thank you kindly for your compliments. I am so glad that your stay went so well! We do everything we can to ensure our guests a comfortable stay and I am glad that the room was to your satisfaction. As for the old carpets in the hallways, we will be renovating the flooring, walls, and lighting in the public areas and hallways starting in December 2012. Soon it will be bright and fresh when you walk in to the Quality Inn. I hope that you can come back once it is done and see the wonderful difference!!

While the rooms contained new furniture and bedding out did not mask the smell of stale smoke throughout the hotel. The hotel rooms were adequate, but left much to be desired in the perception of cleanliness. New carpet is needed to help rid the hotel of the smoke smell. Breakfast was minimal. I have had much better experiences at other choice hotels of much higher quality at this same price point. I would not stay at this hotel again.

I wanted to thank you for taking your time to let us know what you think of our hotel. I do agree that this hotel needed renovations. This hotel was a Lee's Inn before and was closed in 2007 and stood empty for three years until the ownership bought this hotel and first opened it in November 2010. As of March 2011, we were officially opened as a Quality Inn. We did complete renovations for all the guest rooms, including all furniture case goods, brand new Serta mattresses, fresh paint and new carpets; as we believed that this was the most important step. Now we are competely renovating all wallpaper and carpets throughout the hotel, along with the lighting down the hallways. In the guest rooms, we are replacing the old vanities with brand new granite vanities, new sinks, and new faucets. The renovations will start in December 2012. I apologize that the hotel fell below your expectations when you arrived in May 2012, but I assure you that if you come back again, once the renovations are complete, you will be amazed at the transformation! I hope that you will give us another chance when in this area. Thank you again for your input.

My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Seymour, Indiana. The room was immaculate. The hotel was immaculate. The breakfast bars were immaculate.
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were very busy and didn't stand around and talk to each other...as we have seen so many times in other motels/hotels. The lady tending the breakfast bar came out every few minutes and replenished food and wiped down the counter tops, etc. as needed.

All in all, we were mighty impressed!

Very nice stay. We were visiting for the weekend of the Kentucky Derby and had reserved 4 rooms. Upon arrival as we walked into the hotel, everything was very clean, beautiful lobby area, nice breakfast and lounge area and the gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and accomodating. The rooms were very clean and spacious. One room did not have a refridgerator which was brought to us very quickly after our request, as was the same for a microwave in an other room. Air did not work in one room and a repairman was called immediately and air was restored promptly.All in all our stay was very nice and would recpmmend this hotel to anyone and of course, we will be back again for 2013 Kentucky Derby.

Thank you so much the the wonderful review. I am glad to know that all of your needs were met promptly. If there is a problem or something that you may need, then we will do everything in our power to fix it and make it right. Never do we want an uncomfortable guest! We want you to be happy while away from your home. Concerning the smoking room option, unfortuantely we no longer have smoking rooms available due to Indiana's change in law as of July 2012 requiring all businesses, including hotels, to be completely smoke free. We do have an area outside available for people who smoke with a picnic table nearby so they can relax. I am sorry for this change and hope this does not deter you from staying with us, or much less Indiana. We hope to be seeing you again in 2013!

Rooms are redone. Nice color schemes.... Desk couch fridge. Walls are a little thin and doors slam due to inconsiderate people. Out of hotels control. Nice staff and clean.

If you need accommodations in Seymour, IN, I highly recommend this motel. It is one of the cleanest motels I have ever stayed in. Although the structure is not new, the rooms and facilities have been completely refurnished, and they are spotless. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A plus for me, this is a pet-friendly motel.
