This place became famous during The Depression for its delicious fried chicken, but we go for the local delicacy of Boned-and-Buttered Perch:
The fish is wonderful, as are the trimmings....service is businesslike but commendably speedy....and it's all worth the 25 bucks (or whatever it has gone up to now). Chicagoans might think this price not worth a comment, but for "Da Region" it's high -- yet worth every penny. Also, if you need a pre-dinner drink, do it before you arrive (and thank your designated driver).
