Owner description: The story of Santa Claus, Indiana, comes alive at the Santa Claus Museum & Village. Explore the town's famous history in the Santa Claus Museum and pick up the perfect souvenir in the gift shop. Visit the beautiful, 1880 Santa Claus Church and the giant Santa Claus Statue, built in 1935 and standing 22-feet-tall. Spend some time in the Original Santa Claus Post Office and write your free letters to Santa. Don't forget to include your name and address... Santa and his Elves will write back in December!

We were all expecting a museum based on different versions of Santa throughout history, but it was more than that.
This place is more dedicated to the history of Holiday World, Santa through history and memorabilia about the park, town and Santa Claus.
Some interesting stuff here They have a board with displays of letters mailed to Santa Claus in Santa Claus Indiana throughout the years starting with I believe the 1930's.
It was really neat to look through.
There is also a guest you can sign.
No FEE but DONATIONS welcome

This is a small (but free!) museum with interesting history of the area and Holiday World and Christmas nostalgia. It is also next to a historical church, giant Santa statue, and the original Santa Claus post office. The post office was very cute and there you can write letter to Santa and your child will get a reply with the Santa Claus postmark. My 2 y/o was SO excited to see a Christmas tree so many months after we took ours down, it was adorable!

What a great find and no admission costs. They do accept donations but no pressure to donate.

The grounds include the original Santa Claus Post Office where you can write letters to Santa for free and get a mailed reply. A huge santa claus statue built in 1935 to see and photo graph with. An old church and a small museum detailing the history of the town and the man that made it what it is today and had christmas cheer all year round.

Its not a huge attraction but it is something to see. Kids and adults should appreciate history more and enjoy it. Let them learn how HolidayWorld came to be and let them read letters to santa from other kids not as fortunate as them.

Great place to spend an hour and if you have the money donate it helps with postage for letters to the children and such. Also Santas Candy Castle is across the street and has fabulous frozen hot chocolate.
