Trouble confirming reservation and paying balance due to staff shortage. That was pretty stressful when their email said we had 48 hours to pay up or lose our spot. But, calling them was impossible.

The spot was fine, loved it. Been there before. Easy back-in and set-up to 33ft trailer. We did have trouble stepping off the concrete pad because the ground has washed away making the step off the pad to the ground dangerous and we had older guests and my wife tripped over the fire ring and bruised and cut her shin.

Hello John K. -

We apologize that you had trouble reaching us to pay your balance. We also apologize if the email made it seem that you would lose your spot. Any guests that were not able to call in and pay in advance were able to pay via credit card or cash upon arrival. We apologize for any confusion! We are attempting to simplify the check in process by having balances paid in full upon arrival. The email has been amended so it is less confusing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We have shared them with our management team.

Sincerely,
Laura, Guest Services

This was our third stay here and once again we loved it! We stayed in a family cabin and it was perfect for our group of 6. Honestly no complaints-- they were even super understanding about us losing our key (only a $5 charge for replacing it-- we never did find the darn thing!) They've replaced the futon with a larger and much more comfortable pull-out sofa since we last stayed in a cabin here, and that was fantastic! The grill could be a little closer to the actual cabin, but beside that it was wonderful! We're going back in June!

It is Beautiful there..very clean.
But the showers are not for handicapped people no non slip mats and no handicapped bars in showers..this was the only negative to the campground..there are plenty of activities there..

We stayed here 8/12-8/15 in a king RV. The RV was somewhat dated, but worked well for our family. The only real complaint on the RV was the smell, very musty!! The campground is huge, well maintained and good layout. The golf carts are super annoying, but when they charge $50/day to rent it makes sense why they don't care how many are in use! This resort is right around the corner from Holiday World which was our main reason for this visit. We spent Sunday at Holiday World and planned to hangout at the Santa's Splash Down and pool at the resort on Monday. To our surprise and disappointment the water slides were closed. My youngest son was so upset. This was going to be the first time he could ride a water slide on his own because he was finally tall enough! Though it was the start of off season it was not stated in any of the websites or brought to our attention at check in that is would be closed. We headed to the pool in hopes of some kind of fun. The pool was filled with bugs and hair. So gross. It appeared that no one skimmed or vacuumed it at all that day. Not only was that closed, but the activities they advertised were not in session either. Such a disappointment! Not everyone has the ability to vacation in the peak dates, but it should be known that most of the campground is a ghost town during the week.

Was just there Aug 2-6th. First time stay and we stayed in the family cabins. Ages 6, 8, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 37, 49 and 75 .Campground is gorgeous and well kept. Landscaped well and maintained. The activities center and store all well kept. Pool and watersides well kept. Our cabin site very nice. Site 220. Lots of things for kids to do including: arts and crafts, movie nights, paddle boats, kyaks, fishing, golf carts and GLOW parade, Basketball courts, sand volleyball, hiking trails, and nearby Holiday World amusement park. All of this was outstanding. They have a shuttle to and from Holiday World that runs non stop all day. Will pick you up and drop you off right at your cabin. The only negative I have to give and the reason I gave it a 3 was because of our cabin. It wasn't because of it being dirty or anything, it just is showing it's age. I know the park does plan to continue to replace some of the older cabins . For the amount of time we spent in the cabin, it really didn't matter if it was outdated or not, but if your expecting something new and current, look into one of the newer cabins. Appliances all worked, plumbing all worked, had a picnic table out front and on the back deck. Had fire pit and grill. AC worked great. We had all the necessities. Bring your own blankets and towels. We had a nice flat site. Many of the sites are on a hill with little or no flat areas. Be sure to ask about that if you want a flat site. The staff is all very nice and helpful. Peaceful, enjoyable stay. Local Casino 40 min away. Local grocery and hardware 1/4 mile away.

Room Tip: Find out which Cabins are the new ones and ask if it is on a hill or flat site.
