Owner description: Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari are a family-owned theme park and water park combo located in Santa Claus, Indiana. Home of Thunderbird - America’s only launched wing roller coaster, Holiday World celebrates Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July with roller coasters, family rides, a huge water park, live entertainment, games, attractions - and Santa Claus, himself! Splashin’ Safari, ranked one of the nation’s Top Water Parks by TripAdvisor and USA Today, includes the two longest water coasters in the world, numerous family water slides, two wave pools, plus water activities for children. Both parks have been voted the World's Cleanest for more than a dozen years by the readers of Amusement Today magazine. In 2016, Guinness World Records certified Mammoth as the World's Longest Water Coaster and in 2013, TIME magazine named The Voyage the nation’s #1 wooden roller coaster. Live entertainment includes musical shows, a country band, high dive show, and Santa’s Storytime. Both parks offer guests free soft drinks, free parking, free inner tube usage, free sunscreen and free Wi-Fi. New for 2017! We just returned from Holiday World for the 3rd year in a row. The new coaster "The Voyage" is awesome. We love Holiday World and will continue to return every year for many years to come. I look forward to the new attractions they offer every year. This park is a must for younger families my son is 5 years old and the park only has 4 rides that he cannot ride due to Height restrictions. We are very satisfied with Holiday World!!!!

“Gets better every year!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2006

On the PLUS side...
Free beverages
An amusement park AND a waterpark
The owner of the park greeted us personally
Great value for families
Something for everybody from rollar coasters to kiddie rides to lazy rivers

On the DOWN side...
Crowded...even on a Tuesday in early June.

Any negative reviews about this park are the exception not the rule. We have been here a dozen times and it gets better all of the time

We will be going back...just like everyone else.

“Not the friendiest!!!!!!!!!!!!”

We went to holiday world hoping to find the friendliest park in teh country. instead we found RUDE employees, even ruder guests and lines so long all we could do from the hours of 10 am til 4 pm was the wave ppol and lazy river. The water park is suppose to be #2 in teh country but was very poorly planned and the theming was lacking! after a rain cane the park became less crowded and we could actually ride some rides. The rides are great and the employees in teh ride sections are great but the employees of the water park are some of the worst I have ever encountered! Its almost like the free pepsi products are a consilation prize for teh rudeness there. Maybe thats what they call friendly in indiana but I am from the south and southern hospilality comes natural here and I felt no love at this park expect the ride operators at the coasters and the people taking money!

In fact everyone in that area seems to be very rude!

Where else can you hear 8 year old children cussing as they walk next to their parents? or get rolling eyes and sighs when asking for directions or get wrong directions from employees just to get you lost or even get this quote "if you look at your map youd be able to find it!"

Nice clean park visually, great rides BUT overatted friendliness and overated waterpark!

This is the cleanest park iv'e ever been to! Very friendly staff. My family of four had a great 2 day stay here. The campground is just as clean and nice as the amusement park.

“Holiday World is something special for the whole family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2006

We enjoyed our visit on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. This park has got something for everybody -- major thrill rides, exciting rides for parents and children together, and fun things for the littlest visitors to do all on their own. The lines were not long at all during our mid-week visit, though I hear they are much longer on weekends later in the season.

The new Voyage roller coaster lives up to its billing as a major thrill ride. Everyone is talking about their experience as they stand in line for other things. The weightless feeling, the tunnel and the 90 degree turns are spectacular. This coaster is spectacular even when you are watching it.

The park is beautifully landscaped. The staff is exceptionably nice and patient with little children (our indecisive three year old).

It's a joy that lunch items and snacks are reasonably priced. Free soft drinks and sunscreen are nice features. And I LOVED the Zinga in the water park area!!
