“Wow! What a B&B.”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

We spent just one night here but it was certainly memorable. Karin made us feel very welcome on our arrival, offering us tea and cakes on the lawn. Sadly we couldn't take her up on the offer as we arrived too late as we had pre booked dinner. The room was absolutely stunning, amazingly comfortable bed and so peacefully quiet as you'd expect being in a sleepy little village. The breakfast was a real treat, fresh strawberries, blueberries, stewed prunes and apricots, mueslis and the cooked breakfasts!! Some of the best black pudding I've ever tasted! Just wish we could have stayed longer than 2 days!

I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay when exploring the delights of this area of the Cotswolds. Clapton Manor house has great charm and a sense of calm ... the garden is lovely and offers a variety of places to sit and enjoy the tea and super home made cakes that Karin kindly provided upon our return to house each day. The secret location is rather special. The breakfast is everything it should ... I miss the freshest eggs ever and the local sausages. The cosy lounge with TV, magazines and books was an unexpected bonus. There are many things to commend this best of British bed + breakfasts ... thoroughly recommended. Peter

Room Tip: There is a room facing the garden with a large bathroom ... and a larger room overlooking the quiet...

But once you are thete, it is a very nice and pleasent place to stay. Karin was very helpful. Beside our room we could use a nice living room and enjoyed a breakfast to our liking. The Cotswolds iare wonderful. What else one need?

The property and location was amazing. Karin was very helpful with planning our days and did everything to make us feel right at home. Clapton Manor was very central to all the best sites. It's right across from a splendid little church and you can purchase local honey and eggs right next door. It was a great experience and we highly recommend!

Had to say 'Thank you Karin' for such a lovely few days in your delightful home. Comfort all the way. Breakfast was delicious and afternoon tea with cake was something else. Will see you again in August. Cannot recommend Clapton Manor highly enough.

We stayed at Karin's B&B for two nights in November. It is in a very remote and peaceful village with only two rooms. We had the room with the bathroom hidden behind the bookcase and had a very comfortable night's sleep. Karin provided a lovely breakfast, and her knowledge of the area and things to do was invaluable.

What a hidden gem Clapton Manor is, we visited for 2 days and spent a charming time with Karin and James. The rooms were so comfortable we wanted to take them home, and of course there was the afternoon tea with the most delightful cake you could wish for, and then the breakfast what could you say about that except "more".
We could not recomend this highly enough, we are coming back most definatly so please leave us some space for next year
