We had made reservations for two rooms over 2 months ago and confirmed reservation two weeks before a mystery trip my wife and I had planned for friends. When we arrived the inn keeper had no records of our reservation, no similar rooms available and the only excuse for no solution was the person that confirmed reservation was in Germany. I guess the surprise was on us instead of our friends. Good luck to others that book rooms in advance.

We stopped on the town square for coffee and had to spend the night. Deborah runs the coffee shop and the Old Jail Inn. She's energetic and charming and had an idea that is quite worth the stop. She converted the old county jail into an inn! Original bars included. We stayed in one of two rooms with a shower and toilet. Very nice, clean and honestly very odd and thought provoking. The jail incarcerated criminals for about 150 years.

Parked our motorcycles in the garage so no concerns. A walk of less than a block to the 36 Bar and Grill. Nice spot too.

This was the first time we stayed at a B&B it was well worth it! We came to see the covered bridges. We arrived after the annual festival, so the town was quiet. We were going to stay at Turkey Run State Park but saw the jail as an option. Thought it would be something fun and different. Had the whole place to ourself. We stayed in the Bonnie and Clyde room upstairs. Had our own bathroom in the suite. Debra and Tony are wonderful. Got free breakfast at their coffeeshop/cafe next door. Debra gave us a tour of the "Drunk Tank" which is downstairs of the jail. Wished we were there for a weekend to enjoy the wine and coziness of the "Drunk Tank". It's beautifully decorated. They even let you write on the jail cell wall as a rememberance of your stay.

I surprised my sisters and 88 year old mom with a week-end trip in the Old Jail Inn. This experience was awesome. The owners and staff went out of their way to make out stay very enjoyable. This is not the embassy suites but the memories you will make will make up for any inconvenience you might experience. There was a total of 8 of us and this is the 13th year for our weekend trip together and I am sure this one will be the most unusual. Would definately go back again. Thanks for a great weekend.

Spent our 45th anniversay "In Jail", was so much fun. Looking for some place different to stay, this is the place. We stayed in the Bonnie and Clyde suite, a neat experience. Every one is friendly, good food and neat little stores around the square.

My husband son and I stayed here while on a family canoe trip to Turkey Run State Park. It was very conveniently located. My son thought it was so cool to sleep in jail. It is a vacation he will always remember.

What an expierience. How many can say they spent the night in jail...and enjoyed it! The owners are the best. Debbie and Tony were very hospitable. So friendly and so knowledgeable about the jail and it's history. Cells are real, just some new paint and better mattresses and pillows than what was used way back in the day. The patio is new between the jail and coffehouse with live music on the weekends. A new wine cellar/tasting area will be opening in the Fall down in the Drunk tank.
Words can't express what a good time we had.
I can now cross spend the night in jail off my bucket list!
A must if you will be going through that part of the country!
