I was driving through North Central Indiana at lunch time and wanted to avoid the usual chain fast food places at the interchange of US-31 and the main drag. Going about a half mile East down the main street gets you to the downtown business district of this lovely little town!
Classic small town America!
This upscale coffee shop was completely unexpected, and was clearly where the au courant population of Rochester, IN eats on a Saturday afternoon. No farmers. No overalls.
Great home made soups, and excellent salads. You can actually get a healthy meal in Indiana at a place like this if you choose wisely.
And the wholesome looking small-town teenagers who are the waitresses complete the picture.
