“nice restaurant”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

Little Shebas is a very casual somewhat rustic restaurant. They recently opened an outdoor eating area which is nice. It's located in the historic depot district where there are other things to do and see. The food is simple but good. You can even get vegetarian and vegan meals here. There's an area where you can eat and drink (can only go in that section if over 21) where they also play music though you can hear it throughout the place. Definitely a place to eat at while in Richmond.

Hubby and friends like to ride bikes to Richmond on the Cardinal Greenway, and found a few places they like to stop to eat. On a trip through the area one dreary, rainy, chilly evening, he suggested we stop at Little Sheba's. They have so many sandwiches to choose from. It is in an historic area of Richmond. We drove around the block and noticed several quaint eateries there. While the menu is just plain fun to read, I was in the mood for comfort food and chose the five cheese mac n cheese. The plate was very hot, didn't look all that generous for the price, but it certainly was more than enough. It was delicious, and filling enough there just was no room for dessert, tempting as it was. The story of the restaurant on the back of the menu is a must read. Be sure your wait staff leaves it. You'll have a better idea for the names of the sandwiches and the restaurant too. There is another room adjoining with more dining area and a horseshoe bar. Not too many people were out the night we were there, but it looks like a place for fun weekends.

“What a great find”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

This was our second visit to Richmond - use it as "home base" when we are antique shopping in the area. Just discovered the Historic Depot area of Richmond, and this great restaurant. The menu is so varied and tempting, I had a hard time making a final decision. In a party of four, not one person disappointed in their choice. I had a very filling turkey sandwich, served on sourdough bread with feta cheese and side of tasty potato salad. Next time I will try an individual sized pizza, as did one of my travel mates. Sadly, we were too full to share one of the generous sized desserts we eyed at a nearby table- a brownie with two scoops of ice cream. This will be a regular stop when we are in the area.

“Surprise find”
Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

My first trip to Indiana involved staying at the worst hotel I've stayed at in years so my expectations for finding a good place for dinner were low. Glad to say that Little Sheba turned out to be an unexpected gem.

Charming neighborhood, nice ambiance, genuinely friendly service. It's essentially a sandwich place, with a huge selection of creative subs. The food was tasty but not quite at the level I expected from the reviews. The potato salad was quite average. And as other reviewers have mentioned, the portions are fairly small. Nonetheless, I wouldn't hesitate to come back and sample a few more of the more unusual subs on their menu.
