“A better Choice but”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The Hampton Inn in Princeton was a much better choice in Princeton. The rooms are standard Hampton and seemed clean. I did not eat breakfast. I made my way to the Donut bank for some of their good coffee and donuts,

This hotel is under renovation. When we checked in (Oct 5), the crew was re-tiling the entrance, and it appeared to be just the start of the renovation process. The rates were relatively low ($75/night) - I'm guessing to compensate for the inconvenience. The staff made every attempt to make the guests comfortable. A temporary breakfast room was set up and the breakfast hostess kept it well supplied. If having a pool is important to you, you may want to find out if it will be open during your visit. The rooms were okay. This will be a terrific hotel when the rework is completed. I would book there again even during the renovation.

A late check-in that was met with a helpful, friendly face and a room for three that was clean, hypoallergenic, and nicely remodeled. A very pleasant night's sleep followed by a well stocked breakfast. Highly recommend for anyone passing through Princeton.

We spent three nights at this hotel. The room was nice. The refrigerator and microwave in the room was handy. The breakfast was excellent. The front desk manager was a little rude. She intially told me we could not extend our stay because they were "booked out", but then said she would go and check. She came back and said it was OK if we stayed an extra night. If they were "booked out", how was that possible and who was she asking permission of? We were paying full price for the room, so it wasn't like we were asking for a favor. The pool was cloudy looking and they were not consistent at keeping pool towels stocked. We changed hotels due to the noise of the remodeling that was taking place.

If you are down in Southern Indiana, near Evansville, and you need a hotel, the Hampton Inn in Princeton, IN is wonderful!!! The room was very clean, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the free hot breakfast was excellent! The price was reasonable, too. With a AAA discount, it was $89, including all taxes and fees. It was cleaner than other hotels charging more than that. The check-in and check-out were also super fast and easy. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Having had the pleasure of staying here several times at considerable length, Mr. Virgil Rasche and his fine staff consistently strive to make weary travelers feel at home. Patrons are given first-class treatment at all times.

Having traveled to 67 countries and stayed in every class of hotel, there are few words that can express how nice it is to stay with these lovely people. Additionally, Staff great pride in their work and constantly striving to improve the appearance of the inn.

Their collective performance is a reflection of both the fine character found in the Princeton Community and the clearly outstanding leadership of Mr. Rasche.

When you meet these people, it becomes obvious why Princeton is a great place for families. BTW, the community was recently awarded an 18m Stellar Communities grant and will be an even better place to visit in the near future.
